| About the Artist and the Work Bob Atkinson is a mixed-media artist who lives and works in Nova Scotia, Canada. Educated at universities in Canada and the US, he has worked in various media since the early 1970’s. His earliest exhibited work was a series of interactive sound sculptures with New York artist Sarah Jackson in 1972, and he co-founded the Experimental Music Lab at Dalhousie University with Steve Tittle in 1973. Over the years, he has worked in various conventional and new media, graphic design and illustration. His work is typically impressionist or abstract, often with nature as a theme, and is typically a combination of digital prints, oil and acrylic paint on canvas or art paper from 40 to 91cm (16 to 36") wide.
